Dr. Kenneth Werner was born and raised in New Jersey. At the young age of 13, he was introduced to veterinary medicine by taking a job at a local small animal practice. He soon became captivated by veterinary medicine. All through his high school years all of his time was spent at the animal hospital. He knew at that time that veterinary medicine would become his career.
After he graduated from Parsippany Hills High School, he went on to do his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. He then received his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from Araneta University in the Philippines.
Upon graduation from veterinary school he joined the original practice he worked in. Following his first year at that practice he then went on to practice emergency medicine for three years. At that time he also started a mobile house call practice and did small animal surgery for one of the other practices in the area. In 1984 the house call practice, was changed to a home base practice and Werner Animal Hospital was established. Dr Werner’s passion for veterinary medicine has now continued for thirty-three years.
Dr. Werner and his wife Bonnie have been married for over thirty years and they have raised five children, as well as many dogs, cats, horses and birds.
When not engrossed in veterinary medicine, Dr. Werner likes to spend time with his family, pets and horses. Pursuing his interest in photography fills in the other hours of his free time.
